Soybean
oil has the potential to be a
 useful
component of integrated pest management programs.  Results
thus far show emulsified soybean oil controls insects and mites very similarly
to petroleum oil sprays. Soybean oil sprays are relatively safe to humans
and have no known adverse effects on insects are unlikely to develop resistance
to oil sprays. the environment. Furthermore,
mites
and insects are unlikely to develop resistance to oil sprays.
